Joseph Farrell, owner of Farrell Home Inspections, moved to Ponte Vedra from Rhode Island in 2014 and graduated from the University of Rhode, where he met his wife, Felicia. He has 17+ years of experience in finance, project management and IT management.
In my free time, I enjoy traveling with my family, spending time with friends and volunteering in the local community.
We decided to follow both of our parents to Florida where we made Nocatee our home. I launched a very successful multi-inspector firm before deciding to become an independent home inspector to provide a more personalized experience and attention to detail. I had found that by working independently, I was able to take the time to thoroughly inspect every aspect of a home and give my clients the undivided attention they deserve. This is something that is often not possible in a larger, multi-inspector company where the focus is often on volume. Additionally, as an owner-operator, I have a deep understanding of the local housing market and any specific issues that may be present in the area, which allows me the time to provide an even more accurate and detailed inspection report. I also have a vested interest in the quality of my work and want to ensure that my clients are completely satisfied with the inspection and that any issues are accurately identified and reported.
I have a reputation for delivering a thorough client-focused home inspection with an eye for detail and the ability to communicate clearly and effectively to home buyers/sellers and real estate professionals.
Q: Please tell us a little bit about your family.
My wife and college-aged son live in Nocatee. Max, attends Rollins College in Winter Park. We enjoy spending time with our family and friends in our free time.
Q: Please tell us about your current, past, or future career. What do you love most about what you do? Spending time with my clients and accurately identifying any known issues.
Q: What are a couple of your favorite restaurants in our community?
There are so many restaurants I love, difficult to pick just one! We love Coastal Wine here in Nocatee, to Valley Smoke in PVB and/or Hawkers in Neptune Beach.

I have lived and worked in Nocatee for 9 years.
Q: If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would it be and why?
Greece and Japan are on our bucket list!

Shawshank Redemption and The Matrix.
Q: What advice would you give to people?
It’s always important to be learning something new every day.
Q: What is your favorite thing or something unique about our community?
I love that we are so close to the ocean and that we have great restaurants and shops. Having lived and owned a business here for 9 years, we have formed a special bond with so many friends and neighbors.
Q: Where do you see yourself in 5 to 10 years?
I would say right where I am ..I am pretty happy.

Spending time with my family — nothing makes me happier!
