I moved to the area about 20 years ago from Georgia and I am proud to call this home. The scenery, culture and people make this a great place to live, work and enjoy life to the fullest. In my professional life, I’ve found what I truly love to do with my wife as my business partner. We own Throttle Up Entertainment which provides DJ/Entertainment services for weddings, corporate events, private parties and much more. It is such a privilege to participate and provide services to my clients during their most precious life occasions.
Q: Please tell us a little bit about your family.
I am very happily married to my beautiful, talented and brilliant wife Kelly, who is a Master Barber/Cosmetologist. We have four children ages 20,16,14 and 10 along with our fur babies.
Q: Please tell us about your current, past, or future career. What do you love most about what you do? I have been working in the DJ/Entertainment field for several years part time while also continuing to work a corporate job. My wife fully believes in my dream and with her encouragement we started our company Throttle Up Entertainment. Through the years, she has seen the passion I have for the industry and the joy I receive from doing something that I truly love. We both believe that focusing on delivering an exceptional experience to our clients will provide them with lifelong cherished memories of their special event.
Q: What are a couple of your favorite restaurants in our community?
My wife and I usually have Mondays off and love scouting new eating experiences throughout the area. A few of our favorites are Pusser’s Bar and Grill, Ragtime Tavern Seafood and Grille, Café Eleven and Dockside Seafood.
Q: How long have you lived or worked in our community?
I have been in the area for 20 years and still find new hidden gems at every turn.
Q: If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would it be and why?
I would love to take a trip to Fiji! It would be an incredible experience to stay in a bungalow over the water.
Q: What is one of your favorite movies? TV shows?
My all time favorite movie is Apollo 13. My favorite television show is Next Level Chef, but my true guilty pleasure is Ancient Aliens.
Q: What advice would you give to people?
Mistakes are the best instructors. If you have a passion to do something that brings you happiness, put everything you have into pursuing it!
Q: What is your favorite thing or something unique about our community?
I love the diversity of the landscape. From the rivers to ocean and the woodlands to the metro area, this community has something to offer everyone.
Q: Where do you see yourself in 5 to 10 years?
In 5 years I would love to have Throttle Up Entertainment operating throughout Florida with several highly skilled, passionate and professional DJ/Entertainers.
